Congratulations to Mark Robin who became the first Champion of the new HEFL, coaching his St. Louis Rams to a perfect season, winning all 6 games. This picture was taken of the second game of the HEFL's 1st season when the Rams defeated the Packers.
Mark made several trips to Houston from his home in Vidor, Texas (near Beaumont). His commitment to help league founder Glenn Hardaway was a class act all the way. He shared his extensive knowledge of electric football with Glenn and all the coaches. He was just as much a champion off the field as he was on it.
You can find out more information about Mark Robin by reading the many posts he has made to the two most popular electric football chatboards. Visit the Miggle Chat board and the Buzzball Chatboard.
Mark Robin first became involved in competitive league play as a member of the New Orleans Electric Football League. Mark brought his good friend, Donald Bates of Beaumont, with him to join the new Houston EFL. Mark's friend and fellow New Orleans EFL member Rick Ebel also joined the Houston EF League providing our first four coaches.
Mark Robin's input and participation in the Houston Electric Football League has been invaluable. Much of my own knowledge of electric football can be tied directly to what I've learned from Mark over the past couple of years. He has become a great friend and a true asset to this hobby. Be sure to visit his coach's page and e-mail Mark at any time. He will be happy to help you in this hobby in any way.
In closing I wish you the best always, Mark Robin, and congratulations on winnning the first Championship ever in the Houston Electric Football League!
Glenn Hardaway
